I am Coach Calvert.
I have been participating in various types of training for over six years now, the majority of which I have taught myself in my self-built gym. From MMA to Athletics, I have tried a lot of sports and even more different training methods. After all you have to try these things out to see what works for you. I have also tried numerous ways of approaching nutrition and believe me, I have some horror stories where food is concerned! But I will keep these to myself as I am aiming to provide helpful advice that people can follow to work towards achieving their goals, not make them feel ill.
I am not your average health & fitness enthusiast; which is why my tagline for this blog is “More Than Just a Hobby”. This is how I see my training; for me it is a lifestyle. I am a firm believer in a No-Nonsense approach to fitness/training and I believe that everybody (with a little guidance) can find the time and effort to make a difference to their physique, fitness level, health or sports specific skills.
It’s all about dedication, the effort that you put in and the advice available to you.
Oh and most of all, it is not easy! But there is nothing more rewarding than lifting a PB or struggling out those few extra REPS when you think that’s all you had left in the tank.
So why not say “YES COACH” and follow my blog where I will give you lots of tips and honest advice that I have had to learn the hard way, through trial and error. Allthough I must admit, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
